This summer, set off on a sun-soaked adventure through the magical grounds of Belvoir Castle with Belvoir-on-Sea – a seaside-inspired trail packed with family-friendly fun and coastal charm. From sandy surprises to classic end-of-the-pier amusements, enjoy a day out that brings the joy of the beach to the rolling hills of Leicestershire.
Perfect for families with children aged 3–12, Belvoir-on-Sea is a summer day out full of fresh air, freedom, and imagination.

Cirquoise returns to Gates Oakham this summer with a brand new, breathtaking show for 2025!
The contemporary style Cirquoise family circus features all the acts we love – from laughter-filled clowns to death-defying acrobatics plus new and exciting additions such as the awesome contortionists and the sensational Wheel of Death. The dazzling combination of high energy, jaw dropping talent and electric atmosphere promises a magical and unforgettable experience.
Performances run from the 18th July until the 10th August 2025, the all-human hour-long shows at 11am and 3pm weekdays and Sundays, and 11am, 2pm and 4:30pm on Saturdays.
You’ll find the Big Top on the field next to the main car park, this show is perfect for entertaining your little ones and not so little ones during the school holidays.
Friday Farmers Market @ Stockyard Melton

Friday is our farmers market run by Scarborough Fare every week from 8 am until 12 pm. This market is a more condensed version of our Tuesday market with fresh, flavoursome ingredients direct from the source. Come along to support local farmers, reduce your food miles, and discover the true taste of the season. Whether you are planning a special meal, stocking up for the week, or simply seeking inspiration, Friday’s Farmers Market at The Stockyard is a feast for the senses and a celebration of local produce.
We also welcome a few antique and hardware stalls to diversify the market and encourage any other vendors to contact us for more details on obtaining a table.
Pork Pie Workshops with Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe

Indulge in Melton Mowbray’s finest pork pie experience!
With over 170 years of expertise and craft behind us, we know a thing or two about making Pork Pies.
Discover the fascinating story of how the area became associated with the famous pork pie, Stilton cheese, hunting and exactly why an authentic Melton Mowbray pork pie is so unique.
One of our bakers will then give a step-by-step demonstration on how a hand-raised pork pie was traditionally made before giving you the chance to make your very own with personalised pastry initials on top. All made with 100% British outdoor-bred pork and hot water crust pastry.
After the workshop we chill your pie overnight, bake fresh the next morning, and you are welcome to return and collect it. Alternatively, we can deliver pies to 1 set location via our courier.

Bounce! Inflatable Theme Park

The Bounce Inflatable Theme Park is returning to Melton Mowbray on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of July, featuring huge bouncy castles, slides, domes, obstacle courses, penalty shootouts, bungee runs and much more!
Bring the family and burn off some energy, as you delight in bouncing around, across, under, over and through the biggest collection of inflatables you have ever seen! Hilarity guaranteed!
With bookable hourly slots, there’s no queuing, and the park is only a short walk from the train station, town centre and plentiful parking. The park will be buzzing, with ice creams, and refreshments available from the kiosk and a licensed bar too – bouncing is thirsty work!
Some of the inflatables are for all ages, while others are for children only, and there’s even a soft play area for the youngest of all.
We have exclusively reserved a slot for children with special educational needs (SEN) on Sunday 20 July, 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm, to enjoy the Bounce Inflatable Theme Park for FREE!
Simply book your SEN slot and bring proof of disability living allowance or a consultants letter with you on the day.
For comfort and safety, slots are limited so book early to avoid disappointment!
Sunday Market @ Stockyard Melton Mowbray
July 20 and every Sunday from 8am to 12pm

Sunday’s market at the Stockyard is a hybrid of a general market and car boot sale. Enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere from 8 am until 12 pm with a £1 entry fee. This market attracts seasoned bargain hunters, lovers of all things vintage, or someone looking for a pleasant way to spend their morning.
If you want to sell your own luxuries or unwanted goods, head over to us for £10 a table at Gate 8 (LE13 0NP) before the market commences.
This runs every Sunday, excluding Easter Sunday and Remembrance Sunday, with all information and updates provided on our Facebook page.
Summer Band Concerts In The Park
July 20 – August 24 from 2.45pm to 4.30pm

Melton Mowbray's ever popular summer bandstand concerts continue this weekend. All performances take place on Sundays and they are free to enjoy with most starting at 2.45pm.
On Sundays in July and August, audiences can enjoy back-to-back concerts with the entertainment beginning at noon.
Bands from across the region will be playing a selection of great tunes, including marching music, classical pieces, television and movie soundtracks plus classical spins on pop music.
Royal Melton Guided History Trail

Melton Mowbray’s history can be traced back for at least 1,500 years dating back to the Saxon period if not before. The town was important enough to have been a royal mint in the reigns of King Aethelred II (978-1016) and King Canute (1016-1035).
The first King that is recorded as having paid a visit to Melton Mowbray was King Richard the Lionheart. On his way back from Nottingham after capturing the castle, bringing the rebellion of his brother John successfully to an end, he visited Melton Mowbray, on the 5th April 1194 to visit the Lord of the Manor, William de Mowbray.

Join us for the first Stockyard Saturday of 2025 on the 12th April and every 2nd Saturday of the Month.
Stockyard Saturday is Melton Mowbray’s most diverse Saturday market, with a variety of stalls fit for all.
The market is held within the Traders Hall, so whatever the weather, we are open.

The Melton Folk Festival comprises a full weekend of music & dance (from folk to popular) all around the town. It is a free festival and attracts musicians from all over the country. A great weekend for music lovers or for those just wishing to experience the festival atmosphere.
