Leicester residents go on Sikh cultural visit

On Wednesday 21 January, residents from Mahatma Gandhi House and Sabarmati House took part in a cultural visit to the Leicester Sikh Temple and Museum.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed exploring the museum, where they listened with great interest to the history of Sikhism and learned more about its rich culture and traditions.

During the visit, residents entered the prayer hall and spent a quiet, reflective moment enjoying meditation, which many found peaceful and meaningful. This was followed by a hot meal, which everyone greatly enjoyed.

The visit also provided a wonderful opportunity for residents from both houses to come together. They enjoyed each other’s company, shared laughter, and engaged socially throughout the day. The trip was filled with fun, positive interactions, and a strong sense of togetherness, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience for all involved.
