Wine Tasting at The Plough Inn 
July 25 from 7.15pm to 9.30pm

Join Michael aka The Wine Fan for an evening of wine tasting at The Plough Inn in Littlethorpe. 

A unique wine tasting experience featuring classic pub and restaurant wines.

Blaby Summer Fun Day 
July 26 from 2pm to 9pm 
Location: Oakfield Park, Blaby, Leicestershire, LE8 4FE 
Cost: Free! 

Blaby Parish hosts their annual FREE family Summer Festival Fun Day.  

The original and only free entry community family music festival. Expect an amazing line up of tribute acts, DJ sets, fair rides, inflatables, craft stalls, street food, licenced bar and much more! 

Bring your gazebos and chairs and enjoy a full day of entertainment. 

 

Music at the Meadows – Everards Beer Hall 
Every Friday and Saturday evening in August from 7pm to 11pm

Live music at the Everards Beer Hall's beautiful garden – the perfect backdrop for a great evening with friends or a lovely date night. 

 

GlastonBlaby Charity Music Festival 
August 2 from 12pm to 8pm 
Location: Leicester Lions RFC, Westleigh Park, Lutterworth Road, Blaby, Leicestershire, LE8 4DY 
Cost: £8.83 adult / £6.66 child 16-18 / £4.50 child under 16 / £22.28 family (2 adults and 2 children under 16) 

This year's GlastonBlaby will be taking place on Saturday 2nd August 2025. 

This excellent family event features fantastic tribute acts and some of the most exciting up and coming bands in the county. Get the real festival experience while supporting charity! 

 

Bouskell Park Ice House Tours 
August 2 to September 13 from 10am, 10.30am and 12pm 
Location: Bouskell Park, Welford Road, Blaby, Leicestershire, LE8 4FT 
Cost: £5.75 per adult with up to four accompanied children for free 

Bouskell Park has a rich history: once the site of a medieval village, and now home to a Grade II Listed Ice House, originally built in 1843 and restored to its former glory in 2021. 

The tour includes a guided walk across Bouskell Park with information given about the archaeological features. You will then have an opportunity to look inside the Ice House and learn about how and when it was used. 

Our complimentary activity trail for children runs alongside the tours, up to 4 children for free with one paying adult - Help our resident Fosse Fox Blar find his froggy friend by solving clues around the park. Complete the crossword to find froggy’s hiding place and reunite the parkland pals! 

 

Party in the Park – Narborough 
August 2 from 1pm to 7pm 
Location: Narborough Park, Desford Road, Narborough, Leicestershire, LE19 2EP 
Cost: Free! 

Narborough Parish Council host their FREE summer Party in the Park. 

Lots of fun for all the family including live music, food and drinks, bouncy castles, children's entertainment and more! 

 

Bakers Fest 2025 
August 22 – August 25 from 12pm to 11.30pm and 12am  
Location: Bakers Arms, The Green, Blaby, Leicestershire, LE8 4FQ 
Cost: Free! 

Join the Bakers Arms in Blaby celebrating 10 years of its annual beer, cider and gin festival taking place over the August bank holiday weekend.

Family Fun Day at The Bricklayers 
August 25 from 12pm to 4pm 
Location: The Bricklayers Arms, 23 Leicester Road, Sharnford, Leicestershire, LE10 3PP 
Cost: Free! (with some participation fees per activity) 

Bring the whole family along for a fun-filled afternoon at The Bricklayers this Bank Holiday Monday. 

There are lots of exciting things planned, including entertainment for the kids, crafty activities, and tasty BBQ treats. 

What’s On: 

Mr Twist (1 PM – 4 PM) – Mr Twist will be keeping the kids entertained with balloon fun, laugh-out-loud comedy, amazing magic tricks, and a hands-on circus skills workshop. 

Craft Station – with local artist Beth Edge. Paint plant pots, pebbles and more at our craft station (small participation fee, £1- £2) 

Face Painting – by Lily Mae Facepainting. Lily will be offering a discounted fee of £2.50 for all Family Fun Day visitors. 

BBQ – Enjoy a tasty bite from our outdoor grill (menu to be announced soon!). 

No need to book. Just come along, relax, and enjoy the Bank Holiday. 

 

The Victory Show 2025 
August 29 – August 31 from 9am to 7pm 
Location: Foxlands Farm, Cosby, Leicestershire, LE9 1SG 
Cost: £25 adult / £15 children 5-15 / £85 family  

Held over a 100-acre site at Foxlands Farm, Cosby, Leicestershire, the Show provides Historical Societies and re-enactments through various forces, from several eras and theatres during the period of 1939-45. From Airmen to Infantry, the Victory Show opens a window in time to the fabulous 1940's. 

Open All Day Friday (Schools Educational Day), Saturday & Sunday, The Victory Show has something for everyone from re-enactment camps and 1940’s vehicles. There will be over 60 stalls in the large trader’s area. Static WWII Aircraft and 1940’s working and static Farming Machinery. There will be a huge Army Encampment and 70+ Re-enactment Groups, 200+ Vehicles including Heavy Armour and Paul Harper playing throughout the day in the Marquee. The 1940’s themed Dinner Dance on Saturday night for 700+ guests is always popular, plus many more attractions all over the Cosby Victory Show Site, including various food & drink outlets. The Show offers the greatest respect to the 1940’s and WWII.
