On Thursday 26 September, Albany House was buzzing with laughter, chatter, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee as we came together for our Macmillan Coffee Morning.
It was such a lovely day, bringing together residents, cancer survivors, staff, the care team, and the day centre, all united to support an incredible cause that’s close to so many of our hearts. The turnout was so fantastic that we even had to borrow extra chairs from the café to fit everyone in!
A huge thank you to Sue, one of Albany’s cleaners who did a brilliant job organising the event, and to everyone who baked, donated raffle prizes, or simply came along to join the fun. We were absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity of so many people and thanks to you all, we raised an amazing £605 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
There were plenty of smiles, delicious cakes, and even more laughter, the true recipe for a perfect community morning.
Sue commented:
“It was such a joy seeing everyone come together for a cause that touches so many lives. The atmosphere was full of love, laughter, and community spirit. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.”
