Your Neighbourhood

Lewisham is a lively area in southeast London, 6 miles from Central London. Once a rural area, Lewisham grew into a bustling urban district in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a mix of Victorian and modern architecture. It has a rich history tied to trade and industry and is now home to a diverse, multicultural community.

Notable landmarks include Lewisham Clock Tower, and the newly redeveloped Lewisham Gateway, which contributes positively to the regeneration of the area. With shopping spots like Lewisham Shopping Centre and green spaces such as Ladywell Fields, Lewisham combines urban amenities with outdoor areas.

It has excellent transport links, including trains and the DLR, offering easy access to other parts of the city. To showcase local talent, events such as the Peoples Day Festival and Brockley Max Festival are created to inspire the community. Lewisham Gateway aims to renovate the town centre with new residences, retail, and recreational facilities to boost economic growth and local employment.
