Bexley is a vibrant borough nestled in southeast London, within the Thames Gateway, spanning 23 square miles and bordered by the River Thames to the north. With a rich history dating back to the Saxon era, Bexley was transformed into a thriving commuter hub in the 19th century with the construction of the railway. Historic sites such as Hall Place and Gardens, which was built in 1536, symbolises its Tudor-era legacy.
One of London's greenest boroughs, Bexley has over 90 green areas, including Danson Park and Crayford Marshes. There are also outstanding transport connections, with the Elizibeth Line at nearby Abbey Wood and Southeastern train services offering quick access to Central London. There are excellent amenities, including Bexley Grammar School, healthcare services, and the Broadway shopping centre with over 60 shops and restaurants. Entertainment alternatives are also available to residents such as Cineworld and the Edward Alderton Theatre. The United Reformed Church and Sidcup Recreation Club host local events such as weekly craft groups, dancercise for over 50s, and Lunch Clubs, which bring the community together.
