Who are the Resident Assembly?

The Resident Assembly (RA) is a group of residents who work directly with us to make our housing services better. The RA is resident-led, which means your voice is at the centre, helping shape decisions that affect your home and community.

The group work alongside colleagues at PA to provide feedback about what is working and where we need to make changes.

We want real conversations about what matters most to you and your neighbours.

This is about making sure your voices are heard at the start of, and throughout, the decision-making process so you're influencing how we do things.

Interested in applying but would like to learn more?

Join us online on Monday 13 October to hear directly from our members. We will share what’s involved, the difference they’ve made, and answer any questions you might have.

We’re running two identical sessions, so you can choose the time that suits you best.

4.00pm – 5.00pm and 5.30pm – 6.30pm

Each session will start with a short presentation, then move into friendly breakout rooms where you can ask questions and chat with members.

Why join?

The RA isn’t just about sitting in meetings. It’s about influence, impact, and making your voice count. As a member of the Resident Assembly, you will:

  • Shape decisions: Give strategic feedback, challenge us when we need it, and make sure residents’ perspectives drive change.
  • Build skills: Learn how housing works from the inside out, strengthen your confidence in debate, and pick up leadership and decision-making skills you can use anywhere.
  • Use your time well: Around 10 meetings a year (mix of in-person and online), with focused discussions that lead to real tracked outcomes.
  • Get support & training: We’ll provide support and training, to make sure you feel confident to take part and challenge us.

You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to be curious, enthusiastic, willing to work with us and ready to speak up for what matters to residents.

Who are we looking for?

We believe every voice matters, and our Resident Assembly is open to any of our residents who wants to help shape the future of PA Housing. Whether you’ve lived here all your life or recently moved in, your perspective is valuable.

We’re especially keen to hear from people who may not always see themselves represented in these conversations – whether that’s younger residents, people balancing busy work or family life, and those from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Your lived experience brings fresh ideas and helps us better understand the needs of our whole community.

We're recruiting and we'd love for you to apply!
