Who are the Disability and Vulnerability Working Group?

The Disability and Vulnerability Working Group work with PA staff to help shape services to make sure they're accessible and inclusive.

Members of the Disability and Vulnerability working group meet monthly to share their experiences and help us understand what changes might be needed to support vulnerable and/or disabled residents.

Residents in the group meet with staff to talk about barriers they and other residents face when using our services.

The group take part in:

  • reviewing relevant policies and procedures
  • testing to help identify where improvements are needed
  • mystery shopping exercises

The group focuses on accessibility of our services and how we support residents with different needs. They also explore how we communicate and whether our services are flexible enough to support vulnerable individuals.

Feedback from the group is shared directly with relevant teams across the organisation. The group’s recommendations help influence decisions around policy, service design, and future improvements. It ensures the voices of disabled and vulnerable residents are heard and acted on at all levels.
