The neighbourhood clean-up of Vicarage Fields!
On the 10 February, your Neighbourhood Coordinator (NC), Paul, began the mission: a cleaner, brighter Vicarage Fields. Our Neighbourhood Team joined forces with the Contracts and Partnerships Team and estate services contractor, Just Ask for an action-packed day of litter picking.
Equipped with gloves, bags, and great energy, the clean-up crew filled 23 bin bags with rubbish in just a few hours! This wasn’t just about picking up litter, it was about taking action and driving change.
It all began when residents raised their concerns with the state of the grounds maintenance to their NC. Paul decided to team up with Jake, from our Contracts and Partnerships Team, for a walk around to see the issues first hand. On 10 February, Paul, Jake, and a number of other colleagues from the Neighbourhoods Team came together as the clean-up crew to make Vicarage Fields tidy again.
The best part was hearing your feedback, such as “It looks much better,” and “Nice to see everyone working together.” And that’s what this mission is all about, listening to your concerns, showing up, and making a real difference.

So, will the clean-up crew be back? We’re keeping a close eye on it to stay on top of things, but if litter starts building up again, Paul is ready to rally the troops. Litter pickers at the ready!
For now, the task is complete – and Vicarage Fields is a place that residents can be proud to call home.
A big thank you to Paul and everyone who got involved – and don’t forget, your feedback really does lead to action.
