On 8 September, we held a virtual residents meeting, where we invited everyone to join us online to hear from our Chief Executive, Michael McDonagh and other members of the executive team.
This time, we did things a little differently We welcomed nearly 140 residents joining the session online and 15 residents in person from the Midlands and South East, and that isn’t including the showings and translation services at our independent living schemes.
Michael spoke about the Regulator of Social Housing’s inspection of our services and how we’re doing as we await the results. He also discussed some of our plans for the future on how we’ll continue to learn from our mistakes and from your feedback.
He then handed over to other members of the Executive Team to answer questions from our online and in-person audiences while members of our Customer Services Team logged the queries that were coming in.
Linda Gray, Chair of the Resident Assembly, was also in attendance to give a 15-minute talk about the work our Resident Assembly are doing, The Resident Assembly is a resident-led group that works in partnership with us to improve the services we provide to all residents. Throughout the call, Linda emphasised the importance of PA hearing your voices, so we know what matters to you most. Their feedback about what’s working and where we need to make changes can be a huge influence on our decision-making process.
