Supporting entrepreneurship

PA Housing’s Community Investment Team works with Enterprise CUBE to support residents who wish to start their own business.

So far, 50 customers who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs have received online support through a virtual ‘Be Your Own Boss’ training course, run by Enterprise CUBE.

The online course, which runs for eight hours a week for 12 weeks, gives customers access to the information and support they need to be able to turn their dreams into reality.

PA Housing has gone on to provide more support to customers who have taken part in ‘Be Your Own Boss’ and have given a compelling pitch for funding for necessary equipment.

For example, one customer who wanted to launch a party planning business, did not have her own laptop ­– the team provided her with the money she needed to buy one and she used it to begin working on her first events.
