Starting the conversation about dementia for Leicester’s diverse communities and age groups

Alzheimer's Society's Forget-Me-Not Festival is a free, family friendly event taking place on Sunday, 22 June 2025 at the King Power Stadium's Keith Weller Lounge for anyone interested in, or affected by dementia. 

The festival has been co-created and co-designed by people affected by dementia and intends to raise awareness and celebrate connection and culture across Leicester’s diverse range of communities.

What to expect

  • Back-to-back acts on the main stage including a bilingual Singing for the Brain session, Bollywood dancing by Akash Odedra, an expert by experience talk and much more
  • Back-to-back workshops including Intergenerational Yoga with Alexis Knight, Percussion Discussion with Vitaminds, South Asian Dancing and an Intergenerational Dementia Friends Session
  • Age UK Dementia Support Service Drop in and a talk from the local Memory Service
  • Free tours of Leicester City Football Club stadium
  • Information and advice from over 20 stallholders
  • Health checks and hearing checks provided by RNID
  • Community ambassadors from South Asian Health Action supporting with language translation in Hindi, Gujurati, Urdu and Punjabi
