From 3 July our own, in-house repairs team known as the Direct Labour Organization (DLO) who already operate in the Midlands will be expanding it’s day to day service to our Nottinghamshire residents.

The DLO will be taking over responsibility for repairs that would previously have been completed by our contractor, Wates. Their work will include plumbing, carpentry, plastering, fencing, roofing, and electrics to cover a whole host of your repairs needs.

With a team of over 50 colleagues and a fleet of well-equipped vans, our skilled operatives in the DLO are directly employed by PA Housing so they communicate and work alongside our teams to deliver the best service they can. This means that we can personally ensure that you are receiving the best service possible in the most cost effective way.

Not only will they be completing repairs during standard working hours, but the DLO will also be covering Out of Hours, emergency
repairs 24/7 and from day one. These will be responded to through our Service 24 hub, which is available to you outside of our usual opening
hours.

This can be accessed by calling the regular PA Housing number at 0300 123 2221. We’re aware that some of you still may have outstanding repairs from our previous contractor, but our plan is to have these all completed by the end of September 2023. Or, if it’s not an emergency, you might consider giving us the details on My PA, which you can access 24/7.

The in-house maintenance team (Direct Labour Organisation) have been operating for many years successfully in the Northamptonshire area. Now, we’re excited to be expanding our services for our Nottinghamshire residents. We are confident that you will see an improved quality repair service and our priority is to address any outstanding repairs as quickly as we can. All operatives who attend to your repairs will be identifiable in our branded PA Housing vans, uniforms, and identification cards. From time to time, we do use approved contractors, mainly for roofing and drainage repairs, but we will make you aware of this beforehand and they will also have identification cards. If you have any concerns about the identity of anyone saying they wish to access your home on behalf of PA, please refuse entry and call us on 0300 123 222.
