RSH consult on changes to consumer standards

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) is consulting with residents on proposed changes to their standards and they would like to hear from you.

The consultation includes revisions to the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard and Consumer Standards Code of Practice and other requirements relating to the Tenant Satisfaction Measures.

They are consulting on:

  • Updates to the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard and its code of practice relating to competence and conduct and Social Tenant Access to Information (STAIRS)
  • A new TSM on electrical safety checks, following new safety requirements for landlords.
  • Minor changes to the Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) to align with recent legislation. These changes will not affect how providers currently collect or report TSM data.

How to have your say

The RSH are keen to hear from all residents, so it doesn't matter if you're a tenant, leaseholder, or a shared owner. You opinions can help shape the direction of the RSH moving forward.

The consultation is open for 12 weeks and will close on 3 March 2026 at 6.30pm
