Our kitchen and bathroom contractor, PiLON, are offering a Customer Service Apprenticeship opportunity that only you, our residents at PA Housing and your family members, can apply for.

Where is the role based?

PiLON has an apprenticeship opportunity for you at Lydden Road, Earlefield, London.

This role will also involve going out and about, shadowing and supporting PiLON’s Resident Liaison Officers. To help you stay on the move, you’ll get a car allowance and a fuel card.

What’s on offer? 

The role will be full-time and on 18-month, fixed term contracts with the potential to become permanent members of staff. 

  • A salary of  £28,810 per year, based on the cost of living in the, with car allowance and a fuel card provided.
  • 23 days of holiday per year as well as Bank Holidays (with the number of days increasing with length of service).
  • Up to a £2,000 reward for successful recommendations as part of a referral scheme.

What you’ll learn?

The Customer Service Apprentice role is ideal for you if you’d like to learn on the job and gain hands-on experience. As a key part of the team, you’ll learn about social housing refurbishments as well as how to handle resident communication, resolve queries, and support PiLON’s Resident Liaison Officers with their projects.

This role will also involve communicating with residents about PiLON’s construction and refurbishment projects over the phone and email.

Other responsibilities include helping to schedule resident appointments, making sure residents are well-informed, maintaining accurate records of all communication with residents, gathering feedback, and preparing letters, newsletters, and other communication materials.

If you have the following skills, why not consider applying?

  • Willingness to complete a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship and develop new skills.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with a strong interest in customer service and project administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate across departments to achieve project goals. 

As you will have access to the personal data of residents in this role, you will be required to fill out a non-disclosure agreement and declaration of interest form.
