PA team shortlisted for Housing Heroes Award

Fifteen PA Housing colleagues have been shortlisted for a Housing Heroes Award in recognition of their work helping to create a culture of respect and acceptance at the 23,000-home housing association.
The members of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Advisory Group – who are based across PA's locations and departments – are up for the title, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team of the Year at the prestigious annual awards, which recognise the housing sector’s unsung heroes.
The EDI group formed in 2018 in order to review and renew PA Housing's policies and procedures relating to equality, diversity and inclusivity. Over the last 12 months, it has expanded its own remit, and is now at the forefront of ensuring PA delivers its strategic commitment to serving all staff members and residents, whatever their age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, religion or race.
Imtiaz Vohra, Equality & Diversity and Coops Manager at PA Housing, who leads the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Advisory Group, said:
We're thrilled that our shared commitment to achieving complete inclusivity has been recognised by the Housing Heroes judges. In addition to their day jobs, the members of the group work hard to deliver trailblazing initiatives, such as our organisation-wide ‘Everybody is unique’ campaign, which aim to guarantee every colleague and resident knows they are valued. Within the last 12 months, the group has developed PA's own in-house equality and diversity training course, which is now mandatory for all employees."
