Would someone in your family benefit from a week’s work experience?
We are offering opportunities during the February half term holiday (17 to 21 February 2020) for 16 - 24 year olds.
The placements are available to family members of our residents and staff, and will give those taking part an insight into work within the housing sector.
The experience will help to develop personal confidence, and provide evidence of personal motivation and drive that volunteers can use when job seeking. We will also provide advice around CV writing and job interview skills to support their employment goals.
Anyone taking part will be supported by our skilled and knowledgeable colleagues who will pass on their expertise and enthusiasm as well as acting as mentors during the week.
There will be a limited number of work placements available on a first come, first served basis. This could be in any team: Company Secretarial, Development, Facilities Management, Finance, Health and Safety, Housing Services, ICT, Marketing and Communications, Learning & Development, Property Services or Resident Involvement.
If you have a specific area of interest, please highlight this in the application form – but please note that we cannot guarantee specifics and that the opportunities available will reflect the operations at your preferred location.

Applications must be made by 6 February 2020.
- Our normal working hours are 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
- Volunteers under 18 years of age will require parental consent.
- These are voluntary placements and no payment will be made, but we will pay, or contribute towards, any reasonably incurred expenses to cover travel to and from their chosen PA Housing office location.
If February is not convenient we will be offering a similar scheme later in the year and details will be announced on our website.
