Caroline McGrogan, General Manager of Fortem’s PA Housing branch was named Woman of the Year in the assets/development/regeneration category. And resident volunteer Diana Charman was highly commended in the Woman of the Year tenant/customer focus category.
The Women in Housing Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of outstanding women working in housing. They highlight the amazing work of the many women who make a major contribution.
Woman of the Year aims to recognise someone who is an inspiration to others. They are an outstanding ambassador for women in housing and excel in whatever they do.
They also demonstrate leadership and a commitment to supporting other women in their personal and professional development.
Caroline has taken care of more than 21,000 repairs to 7,200 of PA Housing’s properties since 2015. Following her success her role was extended in February when she took on care of another 4,000 homes. 86% of the jobs were completed first time, with customer service levels consistently approaching 100%.
She leads a team of 50 tradespeople and 22 office staff and is based at our office in Walton on Thames. Laura Murphy, central support manager at Fortem, said: "She's achieved great things – and she wants the people around her to achieve great things too."
Diana is active around her home in Fulmer Close, Hampton and is also involved with the Richmond Local Area Forum, which addresses community and housing issues, including waste management, village plans and wellbeing. She has taken a proactive and diligent role as an ambassador, and works with churches, councillors and the local authority to support residents.
Diana is more than a neighbour, she's a friend too and has so kindly helped many people in the estate. She's very active in trying to make Fulmer Close a better place for us all.Diana’s neighbour Michelle Araujo
