Chestnut House in London welcomed guests, including the Mayor of Wandsworth, for its Community Open Day.

Chestnut House, which is run by London Care and PA Housing, is an extra care scheme which recently had its tenth birthday; the open day was held in celebration.

Residents at Chestnut House joined to enjoy food and entertainment, as well as a talk from the London Fire Brigade. There was also a raffle, and goodie bags for attendees.

Stakeholders from the area were invited to the event, and the Mayor of Wandsworth attended to meet tenants and see the brilliant work that goes on at Chestnut House.

One attendee said:

“The residents were very friendly and made us all laugh. I'd love to work with them in the future. Thank you for a lovely visit!

“What a fantastic event! All the staff worked really hard to make it a great day for residents and visitors. The residents were laughing and singing along. Great food as well. Well done London Care and Chestnut House," said another.
