Chair of the Board
Hattie has worked in housing and homelessness for her whole career. Beginning working in the voluntary sector in the West End of London, she worked in homelessness policy and then with housing associations, where she became a CEO of a medium-sized association.
After the birth of her second child, she decided that she did not want to continue to work as a CEO. For the last twenty-five years, she has been self-employed, working mainly in health and housing on strategy and governance. She particularly likes working with residents developing their skills to take a role in the governance of their landlord. She has also worked in the financial services sector as a Non-Exec. She is currently the chair of Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust and of Colne Housing Society. She has previously chaired two other housing associations and two other NHS Trusts, along with other third sector organisations.
She worked with the Elmbridge tenants in the run-up to transfer and was an interim CEO of asra many years ago. This gives her a real respect for the legacy of PA as well as admiration for the excellent work done since the merger.
She is the Sunday Times Non-Exec of the year for the public and not for profit sector.
