Chair of Governance and Remuneration Committee & Chair of the Development & Construction Companies (PDCSL and ACSL)
David became a Board Member in 2011 and chairs both the Governance and Remuneration Committee and and the Development & Construction Companies (PDCSL and ACSL).
He is also a member of the Development and Assets Committee.
David is a chartered surveyor and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He has over 30 years’ experience as a director working in planning, development, regeneration, housing and economics. He is a member of the CIH Policy Advisory Committee and is undertaking post-graduate research into social housing policy at the London School of Economics.
He was Executive Director of Housing and Regeneration at Oxford City Council, chair of its housing company and a director of its development partnerships. Previously he was a director at the Homes and Communities Agency and English Partnerships, and Head of Regeneration, Land and Property in the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Government’s head of profession. He also worked in the private sector including as a director for over 10 years at Arup, the international design and development practice, where he led the firm’s planning, economics, transport and environmental consultancy. He was a Board Member at East Thames Housing Association and chaired the association’s development company, a partner in the London 2012 Olympics Village.
